Warminster & District Amateur Swimming Club is committed to treating everyone equally regardless of sex, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, sexual orientation or political persuasion.
The Club will ensure that equality of opportunity is integral in all aspects of its activities and also recognises and adopts the objectives of the ASA Equality and Diversity Policy, namely that we aim to “Build a culture that values meritocracy, openness, fairness, respect and transparency”. This is in keeping with Sports Equality – It is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society.
The Club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from threat of discrimination, intimidation, harassment and abuse. All Club members, volunteers and coaching staff have a responsibility to challenge discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.
The Club will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour according to the Club Code of Conduct, as displayed on this website.
At all times the Club will endeavour to be accessible to disability swimmers in appropriate integrated activities, and support such swimmers to register to take part in multi-category events where they aspire to do so.
